The Bike Helmet Grant was used to purchase 652 Multi-sports, bike helmets and 456 sets of safety gear to distribute at various health and safety events here in City Heights.

These included Bike Rodeos, National Night Out’s and various block parties.  Helmets and gear were also distributed at the Somali Health Fair and the Press Conference for the Central Ave Pocket Skate Park.

Six Crawford High School interns worked at the CHTC office and together they helped sticker helmets, set up tables, transport and distribute helmets. In all they participated in health related occasions at four schools, five neighborhoods block parties and four traditional health events.

Thank you California Endowment for the opportunity to do this for our youth. (2013)
